What does being green smell like? Very much like Rituals Cosmetics' relaunched home collections for sure. The Dutch brand has transformed its classic range of luxury home fragrances, scented candles and kitchen essentials to become more eco-friendly.
These improvements include the introduction of all-glass reed diffuser bottles in a classic ribbed design, completely transparent glass refill bottles as well as carton packaging.
Unlike plastic, glass and cardboard are easier to recycle - crucial for a more sustainable product life cycle. As the glass containers can be refilled, they can be used indefinitely and not discarded after one use.
Four favorite fragrances have been chosen for the relaunched collection: Ritual of Sakura, Ritual of Jing, Ritual of Ayurveda and Ritual of Mehr. They are all available as 250ml fragrance sticks (HK$255), 70ml mini fragrance sticks (HK$145), 250ml refills with a set of reed diffusers (HK$235) or 290g candles (HK$195) .
Each 250ml bottle can last around three months while it's two to three weeks for the mini version. And the redesigned reed sticks hold more fragrance so you don't have to keep rotating them to disperse the scent. The candles have up to 50 hours of burning time.
The home collection is available at all Rituals stores but it takes special pride of place at the brand's newest shop in Harbour City.
