Lane Crawford unveiled a collection by emerging Australian designer Tom Fereday, winner of its Creative Call Out 2018 program in Sydney, at the recent Milan Design Week.

The Crawford Collection - comprising a lounge chair, bed, table range and dining chair - reinterpret Asian elements for an international audience.

In line with Fereday's dedication to using sustainable materials, the furniture is made with FSC-certified timber, natural fabrics and removable steel frames.

Said the designer: "The collection is a considered range with subtle design details and a focus on honest materials and longevity of design. With sustainability as a fundamental core, the collection was developed with both integrity and longevity in mind."

Established in 2015, the Creative Call Out program aims to nurture the best new talents in fashion and lifestyle around the world and help them grow their business.

Lane Crawford chief brand officer Joanna Gunn said: "We saw the potential of Tom Fereday's collection among our luxury Asian customers , and so we connected him to our strategic partner Stellar Works during his visit to Shanghai to help him scale up the production and overcome some of the production challenges."

Guided by their shared values in sustainability, everything about the collaborative collection is made to last, from the selection of the natural material through to the manufacturing process and design.

The Crawford Collection is available at Lane Crawford stores in Hong Kong from May 5. Fereday will personally launch his collection at Lane Crawford Pacific Place on May 9.
