A fully furnished show flat at Monaco One in Kai Tak, sporting nautical and racing themes, has been put on display to wow prospective buyers.
The developer Wheelock Properties says it spent HK$5 million on the design and refurbishment of Flat B on the 28th floor of Tower 2B.
The 522-square-foot three-bedroom flat has the smallest floor plan among all three-bedroom units in the development, and will be sold as a fully furnished unit.
Drawing inspiration from maritime themes, the design incorporates blue interiors and wooden furniture to resemble the luxurious cabin of a superyacht. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in abundant light to the spacious flat, which faces southeast and offers expansive views of Victoria Harbour.
Dark timber flooring has been installed across all the rooms and the oblong wooden strip tiles complement the wooden feature wall in the living room with its geometric designs.
An blue-and-orange sofa together with a round coffee table and rug create a vibrant atmosphere in the living room.
The feature wall in the bedroom takes its design cues from the world of Formula One racing, and is decorated with the same kind of leather used for the seats of racing cars.
The master bedroom accommodates a double bed and wardrobe but is spacious enough to walk around without being cramped. It connects to a 16-square-foot utility platform.
A smaller bedroom has been transformed into a study for dedicated working space, though families with young children could convert it into a nursery.
The walls and floor in the bathroom are finished with natural stone.
The open kitchen is well equipped with gas stoves, a cooker hood and ovens from German high-end kitchen appliances manufacturer Miele while the built-in refrigerator and washer-dryer are from Siemens.
Covering around 37,000 square feet of space with six areas, Club Monaco One, the resident clubhouse, draws on themes of Formula One motor racing and superyachts in Monaco.
Decorative model cars from Amalgam, a renowned car model maker, surround the clubhouse lobby, while artworks representing some of the famous Formula One race tracks and checkered black and white cushions on the sofas all add to the sporting themes.
The clubhouse includes over 7,200 sq ft of indoor and outdoor fitness areas managed by Body N Soul, a residence fitness brand established by Wheelock.
Residents can enjoy 24/7 access to a gym and get help from professional trainers through a series of training courses and workshops.
Another highlight is a swimming pool designed like a deck of a yacht and named Pool Hercule, in a nod to the famous port in Monaco. The 60-meter pool is the longest of its kind in Kai Tak, according to Wheelock.
The development also has a 6,800-square-foot playground for children that includes an outdoor water park and indoor racing track. Thirty percent of the site is dedicated to green spaces with 30,000 sq ft of outdoor gardens.
