The Hong Kong Open Golf Championship will take place at Hong Kong Golf Club in Fan Ling from November 21 to 24 with Link Asset Management as the new title sponsor for the next three years.
Tickets for the final two days, November 23 and 24, are priced at HK$200 per day or HK$300 for a weekend pass, the same as last year.
Organizers describe Player as "the perfect ambassador," citing his status as "golf's premier international ambassador," with 165 tournament victories across six continents over the past 70 years.
Asian Games gold medalist Taichi Kho expressed excitement about playing at home."It's great to see local brands supporting iconic events like the Hong Kong Open, proving golf continues to thrive in the city," he said. "The Hong Kong Open and Hong Kong Golf Club have played a formative role in my career. I'm looking forward to competing alongside some of the world's best in front of home fans again this November. I hope to see many local supporters at the LINK Hong Kong Open."
Defending champion Ben Campbell from New Zealand will join an international slate of golfers to be announced."We can't wait to welcome back world-class golfers and fans from the Greater Bay Area and beyond," said club captain Andy Kwok Wing-leung.
He also said that during the tournament, 18 holes on the composite course will be named after Hong Kong's 18 districts to promote tourism."The LINK Hong Kong Open is a marquee event that showcases our city's world-class golfing experience, attracting both professional and amateur golfers from near and far. Hong Kong's golf scene is something we should celebrate and promote on a larger scale, making it more accessible to local communities," said Link chief executive George Hongchoy.
