Dementia elderly rescued by police with smart GPS tracker after multiple disappearances

Police successfully reunited an elderly man with his family following multiple disappearance incidents with the assistance of a smart GPS tracker. 

The man in his 80s was discovered wandering around Wan Chai earlier this month.

Fortunately, he was safely returned home through a collaborative effort by pedestrians and police. 

Officers enrolled the man in a program to help locate lost elderly individuals by equipping him with an intelligent location tracker.

The device proved crucial when the man went missing again, as police quickly identified his location at a dangerous spot on Mount Davis.

The rescue team found the man beneath a cliff, and the entire operation concluded in just over three hours.

The elderly man's daughter expressed her gratitude for the police's persistent efforts during the multiple incidents.
