For job seekers who seek to practice and identify areas for improvement for their interviews in advance, artificial intelligence (AI) might offer a helping hand. A tech company has developed an AI interviewer, with the interviewer set to greet the public at a technology-related career fair.
Capable of engaging in dynamic conversations and guiding candidates through responses, the "interviewer" is developed by a local tech firm, TechJobAsia, over a period of five years.
Powered by large language models, the AI interviewer conducts interviews in Cantonese and English, generates follow-up questions, and evaluates candidates in real-time.
The firm said the AI interviewer does not rely on a fixed question bank. Rather, it was trained using data from 36,000 job postings and 10,000 simulated interview videos.
Compared to human interviewers, it boasts an accuracy rate of 80 percent.
This AI interviewer will be featuring at a career fair in Cyberport this Saturday and Sunday to guide job seekers.
The fair will see over 580 companies and organizations participating, offering more than 2,000 positions across public institutions and tech startups.
It also features some 280 forums, recruitment seminars, and on-the-spot resume analysis services, all aimed at enhancing the chances of job seekers securing employment opportunities.
