Elderly man found dead in Tuen Mun apartment

An elderly man was discovered deceased in his apartment in Tuen Mun on Thursday afternoon. His son, who was found in a state of mental distress but uninjured, was hospitalized following the incident.

Police were alerted to a foul odor emanating from a unit in Butterfly Estate, Tip Ying House, Tuen Mun, shortly before 4 pm. 

Upon arrival, rescue teams found an elderly man deceased in the residence.

A man in his 40s, believed to be the son of the deceased, was also found in the apartment. He was visibly disturbed and was promptly transported to Tuen Mun Hospital for medical attention.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
