Before the official opening of the Kai Tak Sports Park, there will be multiple drills and tests, one of which will take place on February 4, said Secretary for the Civil Service Ingrid Yeung Ho Poi-yan.
She said tens of thousands of civil servants are expected to participate in the drill next month, and hoped that all government departments and civil servants will whole-heartedly contribute to the smooth opening of the Kai Tak Sports Park.
Commenting on yesterday’s drill, Yeung said there were approximately 63,000 participants, reaching the maximum capacity of the park, with 48,000 of them being civil servants.
She wrote on social media that the drill was smooth and completed in an orderly manner, with excellent cooperation and communication between various units inside and outside the venue.
She thanked all departments and civil servants for their full support, cooperation, and efforts, describing impeccable teamwork as a key element of the successful completion of this major drill.
