Parts of Sau Mau Ping Road were flooded on Saturday morning because of a burst underground water pipe, with two passersby injured from slipping.
The pipe, which carries flushing water, broke shortly after 9 am, flooding traffic lanes on the Shun Lee Estate-bound Sau Mau Ping Road near a United Christian Hospital site.
Around a dozen workers were trapped by the flooding at a nearby construction site, while buses could not offload passengers at a nearby stop.
Two passersby were said to have slipped due to the flooding and suffered minor injuries. They were brought to United Christian Hospital for treatment.
The Transport Department said that due to a water main burst, part of the Sau Mau Ping Road lanes near Hip Wo Street are closed to all traffic.
The following affected bus routes have been diverted:
-KMB Routes no. 11C, 11X, 13D, 13P, 26M, 93P, 95M, 213B and 213X (Kwun Tong bound)
-Cross Harbour Routes no. 619 and N619 (Kwun Tong bound)
