An online function for checking the queuing time at polling stations has resumed after breaking down this morning.
Computer issues are also reported in at least two polling stations, disrupting the voting process.
After visiting a polling station in Kowloon Tong, Electoral Affairs Commission chairman Barnabus Fung Wah said the online function to check queuing time failed to work as it was overloaded by traffic.
He called upon voters to check the queuing time on a board set up outside stations, and reassured that no stations reported queuing time of more than 30 minutes.
Fung said four polling stations opened later than schedule, but the delay was 10 minutes at most.
Another electronic system that helps officers distribute ballots failed to work in a station in Sai Wan due to internet issues. Voting was suspended for 22 minutes, and the station would open longer tonight as compensation.
As of 10.30am, the commission received 69 complaints about the election, including 26 about election advertisements and 12 on arrangements at polling stations. Another 10 complaints were against staff at polling stations and campaigning outside stations. Most complaints have been dealt with, Fung said.
At 1.30pm at the polling station at Quarry Bay Municipal Services Building, voters were told they cannot vote as the computer system broke down.
