Take home pay of workers rises by 1.5pc to HK$18,400

Workers in Hong Kong took home an average monthy wage of HK$18,400 between May and June, a government survey shows.

This is an increase of 1.5 percent from HK$$18,200 in May to June 2019, the Census and Statistics Department reported. The change in monthly wage is useful in reflecting take-home pay of employees between these two years, the department said.

The average hourly wage was HK$74.4, up by 1.8 percent from May to June, 2019.
