Hong Kong athletes kept delivering strong performances in the 11th National Games for Persons With Disabilities and the eighth National Special Olympic Games in Shaanxi, after winning one more bronze medal from an athletics event.
Runner Yam Kwok-fan took home her second bronze medal in the women’s 200 meters sprint T36 event at 35.16 seconds. Her teammate, Yu Chun-lai, was 1.75 seconds behind Yam, finishing fourth at 36.91 in the event.
Sprinters Chong Kung-yuen and Yim Ching-hei both entered the men's 400m T20 final, after placing sixth at 55.02 seconds and seventh at 55.06 seconds in the qualifier respectively.
So far, Hong Kong has bagged eight golds, one silver and six bronzes at this year’s games.
