Hong Kong foil fencer Edgar Cheung Ka-long is one step away from getting his hands on an Olympic medal after a dramatic comeback win in the quarter-finals.
Cheung defeated Kirill Borodachev of Russia 15-14 in a thrilling quarter-final after recovering from 14-9 down.
The Hong Kong foil fencer took four points in a row, finishing the first round at 14-13 behind.
After a one-minute break, Cheung drew first blood just seconds into the second round, and eventually won the match taking a second point.
This is also the best result that a Hong Kong fencer has ever achieved in Olympic history.
Cheung will be facing Czech fencer Choupenitch Alexander in the semi-finals at 6.20pm tonight.
