Three new imported cases reported today, including two on the same flight from Philippines

Three new imported Covid-19 cases were reported on Sunday, including one from Kyrgyzstan and two from the same flight from the Philippines.

All three cases involved the mutant strain L452R. 

Two men, aged 47 and 63 respectively, arrived from the Philippines on the same flight – CX906 – on October 13.

The 47-year-old stayed at the Regal Airport Hotel in Chek Lap Kok and the 63-year-old stayed at Ramada Hong Kong Harbour View in Sai Ying Pun.

Another 17-year-old woman arrived from Kyrgyzstan on flight OZ721 on Oct 15. She tested positive upon arrival.

Residents at tower 1, Grand Promenade in Sai Wan Ho are reminded to undergo compulsory testing by Monday (October 18).

This follows an imported case of a 55-year-old man who arrived from Russia. He was confirmed postitive during quarantine on Saturday.
