Restaurant staffers have been working non-stop tonight as families rushed out and filled eateries to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival on Tuesday.

Many restaurants saw their reservation full, while some staffers said tonight is the busiest night ever since the pandemic.

Restaurant managers expected business to increase by 50 percent compared to that of last year, saying the pandemic situation has improved recently and citizens are willing to spend more with the consumption vouchers.

A great number of restaurants operate in type D were packed as well tonight, with families comprised of 10 to 12 members. Under government's anti-pandemic requirements, up to 12 persons could be served at each table in a type D restaurant, given that staffers are fully vaccinated and two thirds of diners received at least one dose of vaccine.

The number of type D restaurants jumped by around 300 since late-August. There are also over 2,400 type C restaurants, where up to six persons could be served at each table. The number of type C restaurants also saw an increase of around 280.
