The registration for Green Form Subsidized Home Ownership Scheme 2021 closed tonight.

The scheme this year offers some 3,400 units, including 2,112 units from Kai Chuen Court in Diamond Hill, and 525 units from Ching Fu Court in Tsing Yi and Dip Tsui Court in Chai Wan left from the scheme last year.

Units of Kai Chuen will be sold at 50 percent off the market prices, ranging between HK$1.18 million and $3.85 million. It is expected that the ballot drawing will be conducted in July to August, and successful applicants can purchase the flats starting September to October.

A few citizens showed up and submitted their green forms half an hour before the office of the Sales Unit in Kwun Tong closed.

One of the applicants said she applied for the scheme for a new environment for the family after her father passed away.

Another applicant pointed out he is living at a public rental housing unit which occupies about 200 square feet. He applied for the scheme and hoped to purchase a bigger unit, which prepared him for starting a family in the future.

An applicant who lives at Choi Hung Estate, hoped to purchase a flat at Kai Chuen Court in Diamond Hill, saying that it would be more convenient as some relatives live in Diamond Hill as well. The applicant also said Ching Fu Court in Tsing Yi and Dip Tsui Court in Chai Wan are remote and not the first choice.
