A 22-year-old hairdresser in Tai Wai was arrested on Monday, after he offered HK$2,500 to a young woman for sadomasochism.

The man was arrested for soliciting for an immoral purpose and outraging public decency, according to inspector Lam Nga-sze.

Lam added that during investigation, officers found in the suspect’s phone four indecent videos secretly filmed, in which some secretly filmed women visiting a toilet.

The incident happened at around 9.30pm on May 16. The woman, 19, was followed by the hairdresser when returning to her home at Mei Chung Court in Tai Wai. When she was speeding up on her way home, the man approached her and claimed to offer her a part-time job.

The hairdresser gained her trust after a little chat and they exchanged phone numbers. He then offered the 19-year-old HK$2,500 to become his part-time girlfriend and to fulfil his needs for sadomasochism.

The woman, feeling shocked, ran home and decided to report the incident to police after discussion with her family.

Police officers soon targeted the hairdresser, who lives in Tuen Mun, with the phone number provided by the 19-year-old. They arrested him at around 8.30pm on May 17 on Chik Fu Street in Tai Wai.

Lam believed that the hairdresser and the woman didn’t know each other, and the man randomly picked his targets on the street. Lam also encouraged the public to contact officers if they have experienced similar incidents or have relevant information to provide.
