Police have arrested three people accused of bicycle theft in Tuen Mun today, involving at least eight bicycles.

The force received a report from a member of the public on Tuesday, reporting that his bike - worth around HK$3,500 - which was parked on Yip Wong Road in Tuen Mun was stolen.

After investigation, officers yesterday night arrested two men and a woman, aged between 35 to 44 at a public housing flat in the area, recovering eight suspected stolen bikes within the department, worth over HK$20,000.

All arrestees are currently on remand pending further enquiries.

The force called on members of the public to park their bikes on legitimate bicycle parking spaces and remind citizens to lock their bicycles on secured facilities to lower the chance of having their bicycles stolen.
