Health authorities have recorded five cases today, all of which were imported cases.

Of the new cases, four were from Indonesia, and the remaining one was from Spain. The patients aged between one and 40 years.

Only one of them was said to have the onset of symptoms.

The five were said to have undergone quarantine at Silka Far East hotel in Tsuen Wan, Dorsett Tsuen Wan hotel, Dorsett Mongkok hotel, Grand City Hotel in Sai Ying Pun and Ramada Hong Kong Grand View hotel in North Point respectively.

The Centre for Health Protection said 74 Covid infections had been recorded in the 14 days between April 24 to May 7 – including 15 local cases, of which one had an unknown source.

It said people should avoid going out, dining out, and having social contact, and strongly urged the elderly to stay at home as far as possible.
