Hiker airlifted to hospital after tumbling down cliffside at Wo Yang Shan in Tsuen Wan

A male hiker was airlifted to hospital today afternoon after falling down the side of a cliff at Wo Yang Shan in Tsuen Wan.

Police said they have received the call about the incident at 12.41pm, and a Government Flying Service helicopter was dispatched.

The man, who suffered a head injury was taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital unconsciously.

Yesterday, a 58-year-old hiker was found unconscious at Kowloon Peak, also known as Fei Ngo Shan, after a day’s search.

He died in hospital after being airlifted from the hiking trail which is dubbed as “Suicide Cliff”, one of the city’s most treacherous and dangerous climbs.
