The online booking system for making vaccine appointments will reopen on Monday at 9am, with three more community centers made available for getting the jabs, according to Secretary for the Civil Service Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, the minister in charge of the citywide inoculation program.

People age 60 and older and health care workers among some 2.4 million people currently prioritized to receive the vaccines can make their appointments online to get the jab at one of the eight community vaccination centers or 18 outpatient clinics across Hong Kong.

The civil service chief said the three new centers will be set up at Tseung Kwan O Sports Centre, Osman Ramju Sadick Memorial Sports Centre in Kwai Fong and Yau Oi Sports Centre in Tuen Mun.

Nip said the three new community centers will be brought into action next Saturday and will run for 56 days.

He also revealed that private doctors will receive the vaccines next Monday at the earliest and people among the prioritized groups can get the jabs at private clinics starting next Tuesday.
