A security camera footage played in court today shows a dark shadow falling from the third floor of Sheung Tak Estate car park in Tseung Kwan O, which the Coroner believes the dark shadow to be Chow Tsz-lok.

On the 15th day of the inquest into the death of university student Chow Tsz-lok during last year's anti-government protests, Coroner David Ko Wai-hung played the security camera footage which he yesterday said shows “a very important image”.

The footage is captured by a security camera outside of Kwong Ming Court in Tseung Kwan O, opposite to the street from the car park where Chow was found to be severely hurt.

The footage shows at around 12.51am on November 4 last year, a person in black clothing fell from the third floor of the car park, no other was around the scene at that moment.

Ko said the time stated in the footage is not the actual time, further investigation will be needed to confirm it.

Ko said in court that he checked other video footage regarding the ambulance A334 and the ambulanceman who responded to the scene that day, the video shows some inconsistency in the time being told to the court, therefore listing the Fire Services Department as a person of interest.

The coroner adjourned the case to next Tuesday, saying the police have been instructed to prepare the security camera footage of nearby buildings, hoping to get things done before next Monday.

On Wednesday, a police officer who checked the footage told the court that the video footage did not show the car park.
