HK confirms 81 Covid patients today as "Dance cluster” tally climbs to 311

Another 59 people have been infected in the dancing cluster, pushing the total tally of the dance cluster to 311 cases.

The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12am today,  it has recorded 81 additional confirmed coronavirus cases – six imported and 75 local – bringing the tally to 5,948 cases.

Among the 81 cases, there were 34 males and 47 females, aged between 15 to 84 years.

Of the fresh local cases, the Centre for Health Protection's Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan said 62 were linked to previous local infections and 13 from untraceable sources.

The infections with untraceable source include a 15-year-old female student who studies at Fukien Secondary School in Siu Sai Wan. The school will be closed, students and teaching will undergo Covid testings.

A 25-year-old female probationary Customs Officer was also infected with unknown source. The officer had started to receive induction training at the Hong Kong Customs College on November 16, the other trainees will have to be tested.
