In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, personal hygiene and a healthy lifestyle have become prime concerns for all. Hongkongers are getting more motivated to adopt healthier living and eating to boost their immunity and reduce vulnerability to diseases.

Managed by Link Asset Management Limited, the popular and vibrant Lok Fu Place in Central Kowloon will launch a ‘Herbal Harvest’ campaign to further promote the concepts of urban green living.

In sync with the increased awareness in the community of green living. Lok Fu Place has just completed an asset enhancement programme. The shopping centre now offers an enhanced tenant mix and new shops with a series of mindfulness-themed events to inject positive energy into the lives of shoppers and promote a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

Aside from extending and renovating the existing outdoor space, Lok Fu Place is also known as the only shopping centre in Kowloon to be introducing a 3,000-sqft outdoor urban farm. Comprising over 1,000 planting spots, the spacious farm allows 60 species of agricultural produce to grow, including organic vegetables, fruits, and herbs, yielding up to a total of 500 kilograms annually.

To echo with the urban farm’s healthy living concept, participating food and beverage tenants have created a fascinating array of herb-inspired delicacies, such as Ocean Fresh Restaurant’s herb-rubbed spare ribs, scallops with herbs, herb-rubbed rack of lamb; and Fullhouse Kitchen’s roast chicken with thyme.

What’s more, for three consecutive weekends starting from 31 October, the shopping mall will collaborate with Fullhouse Kitchen to provide 3,000 sets of free herbal beverages and snacks including lemon soda with coriander and parsley, common rue-flavoured bubble tea, egg waffle with coriander and parsley, or egg waffle with basil, to satisfy your taste buds.

The giveaways are available every Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm till 8 pm, from 21 October to 15 November, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Simply upload pictures of Lok Fu Place’s Urban Farm or designated items to social media platforms as public posts with the hashtag #LokFuPlace, and you will receive a tasty and one-of-a-kind beverage for free!

During the campaign, customers spending HK$1,000 or above at Lok Fu Place (with 2-5 original machine-printed receipts from at least two merchants) using electronic payment methods in the 7-day period before redemption, are entitled to join the Urban Farm Tour. Besides, they will receive a ‘Microgreens Grow Kit’ and a HK$50 cash voucher from 100FUN and Fullhouse Kitchen to start living a green and healthy lifestyle!

The guided urban farm tour offers both Chinese and English sessions with different time slots on Friday to Sunday, catering to different needs of customers. With each session having 8 places, there are a total of 432 places allocated on a  first-come-first-serve basis.
