Barista apprentice jailed for desecrating national flag after DOJ wins appeal

A barista apprentice, 21, who was given a 240-hour community service order for desecrating the national flag outside the Tuen Mun Town Hall on September 21 last year, has been jailed after the Department of Justice won an appeal over the sentencing today.

The Tuen Mun Magistrates' Courts sided with the DOJ and sentenced the youth to five weeks of imprisonment.
