Lawmakers to resume national anthem bill third reading

Local | 2 Jun 2020 4:15 pm

The debate on the third reading of the National Anthem Bill will continue tomorrow starting at 11:00 am.

After the committee of the whole council has completed consideration of the bill and its report is adopted by the council, the bill will be set down for the third reading.
Last Thursday, lawmakers approved the bill after its second reading, but not before Democratic Party legislator Ted Hui hurled a rotten plant on to the floor and kicked it towards Legco president Andrew Leung.

A final vote on the bill is due on June 4.
