The Hospital Authority said today as at 8:00am today, a total of 19 people, aged between 22 and 72 years, have been sent to hospitals in relation to protests against the new national security law yesterday.

A 51-year-old Nepalese woman is in a critical condition, four men and two women are stable, and the rest have been discharged.

The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said the woman in critical condition is a outsourced cleaning service contractor worker and she was found to be sick at Canal Road Public Toilet during her working hours yesterday.

"We are saddened by the incident and have sent our regards to the worker, wishing her a speedy recovery. We will maintain contact with her family through the service contractor to provide appropriate support and assistance to them as far as practicable," an FEHD spokesman said.
