One virus patient remains critical

The Hospital Authority said no new coronavirus patient have been discharged today, and that a total of 1,029 confirmed and suspected patients have recovered so far.

Among the 31 confirmed patients staying in eight public hospitals, one remains critical, one remains serious and the rest are stable, said Dr Linda Yu, Chief Manager of Clinical Effectiveness and Technology Management.

The occupancy rate of negative pressure beds and wards are 40.1 percent and 53.9 percent, respectively.

In the past 24 hours, 24 new suspected cases have been reported to the Department of Health.

Yu also said the personal protective equipment in reserves can last about two months. There are currently 26 million surgical masks, 2.3 million N95 respirators, 3.8 million protective gown, and 5 million face shields.
