A 31-year-old policeman, attached to the Shek Kip Mei police station, is among the 41 additional confirmed coronavirus cases today.

Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan of the Centre for Health Protection said the policeman had fever yesterday and sought medical attention at the Caritas Medical Centre. He had a picnic at the West Kowloon Cultural District on Friday with friends. Chaung said they are considered close contacts.

The policeman had also returned to the Shek Kip Mei police station, but did not dine with other colleagues and wore a face mask most of the time. His colleagues are not considered close contacts. He has no relationship with another policewoman confirmed with the virus last week.

Chuang said the infection source is unknown and it is worrying that there are more and more such local cases.
