Four cops show virus infection symptoms

Four police officers are in hospital with symptoms of the new coronavirus, a day after a fellow policeman was diagnosed as being infected, health officials said today, RTHK reports.
The Centre for Health Protection said the four were showing signs of the disease, including runny nose, diarrhoea and sore throat.
On Tuesday, about 60 officers had attended a banquet for a colleague who was retiring.
A North Point riot squad officer was later diagnosed with the coronavirus, prompting officials to order the rest of the party guests to be placed into quarantine.
The infected officer's wife and mother-in-law have since tested negative for the virus, but are also being quarantined.
The centre's spokeswoman, Dr Chuang Shuk-kwan, said just like the rest of the public, the police should avoid social gatherings to help stop the spread of the deadly virus.
"We advise everyone... not to go to work if you are sick, especially if your job nature is to face the public."
