Student accused of wounding mainlander gets bail

A student, 18, who will sit for the Diploma in Secondary Education exam, accused of conspiring with others to wound a mainlander at the junction of Shantung Street and Portland Street in Mong Kok on January 27, was granted bail of HK$100,000 and surety by the High Court today.

He was ordered to not leave Hong Kong, surrender his travel documents, live in the address he provided, follow curfew orders, not contact prosecution witnesses and report to the police station twice a week.

The case will be called up again at the Kowloon City Magistrates' Courts on April 7.
