Rocketman rocks in Chopard jewelry at Cannes fest

In Dexter Fletcher's film Rocketman, screened at Cannes film fest Chopard is giving a special touch to British actor Taron Egerton by lending watch and jewelry creations for his performance as pop culture icon Sir Elton John.

At the Cannes Film Festival, as the “Red Carpet Jeweler,'' Elton John, Julianne Moore, Elle Fanning, and other celebrities and top models selected to wear Chopard jewelry at the premiere of Rocketman and premiere of Les Misérables

Rocketman, the biopic, retraces the adventure experienced by Elton John, from his beginnings as a shy youthful piano prodigy to his rise to global pop star status. The screen adaptation of the story was bound to enthuse Sir Elton John's personal friend Caroline Scheufele, the Chopard Co-President and Artistic Director.

The artist – played by British actor Taron Egerton – appears in many scenes wearing creations from Chopard such as those belonging to its Happy Hearts, Happy Diamonds and Happy Spirit jewelry collections, Happy Sport watches as well as opulent models from the Animal World Haute Joaillerie range.

Sparkling works of art chosen to represent the extravagance of the pop genius, known for the whimsical and eccentric look he adopted after his introverted childhood years. They reflect the changes to the artist's lifestyle following his irresistible rise to success and his entry into the world of luxury. Sir Elton John's parents, played by Sheila Eileen Dwight and Steven Mackintosh, also wear Chopard creations.
