Junius Ho says anti-graft agency can probe solicitor claims

Local | 4 Oct 2017 12:16 pm

Pro-Beijing lawmaker Junius Ho Kwan-yiu said he is fine with being investigated by the Independent Commission Against Corruption, after he was accused of making a false statement during his Legislative Council election campaign last year.

In his campaign leaflets, Ho had claimed that he is a practising solicitor in Britain and Singapore, when he is only qualified to do so.

After questions were raised about his qualifications, Ho changed the wording from "practising" to "qualified to practise" on his law firm's website.

Responding to reports that the anti-graft body is investigating, Ho said he is not afraid of others "inflicting harm" on him.

He posted on his Facebook page today that "[the ICAC] can always probe what they want" and he'll bravely face any challenges.-RTHK
