Taiwan on Thursday reported 11 new coronavirus disease infections -- six transmitted domestically and five contracted overseas -- and zero deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), CNA reports.

Of the domestic cases, four were reported in New Taipei and one each in Taipei and Taoyuan, the CECC said.

The new patients bring the total in Taiwan to 15,753, of which 14,256 are domestic infections reported since May 15, when the country first recorded more than 100 infections in a single day.

To date, 791 people have died of the disease in Taiwan, including 779 since May 15.
