Six more locals in Guangdong infected with coronavirus

The Chinese mainland on Wednesday reported four new local coronavirus disease infections, all Guangdong province, state news agency Xinhua reports.

The National Health Commission said in its daily report there were also 15 imported patients. Among them, three each were reported in Fujian, Guangdong and Yunnan, two in Shanghai, and one each in Beijing, Jiangsu, Hubei and Sichuan.

No new suspected infections or new deaths from the disease were reported.

A total of 6,329 imported patients had been reported in the mainland by the end of Wednesday. Among them, 5,992 had been discharged from hospitals and 337 remained hospitalized. No deaths had been reported among imported patients.

There was one suspected infection in the mainland on Wednesday.

A total of 24 non symptomatic infections were newly reported, all from outside the mainland. There were a total of 427 non symptomatic patients, of whom 405 were from abroad, under medical observation by Wednesday.
