31 more infected with coronavirus in Xinjiang and eight in Liaoning

China has reported 45 new confirmed coronavirus patients in the mainland Friday, 39 of the patients are locally infected. 

Of the domestically infected people, 31 were reported in Xinjiang and eight were in Liaoning province, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. On Thursday Xinjiang reported 112 virus patients.

No deaths related to the disease. There were no suspected virus patients reported Friday, the commission said.

On Friday, 15 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.

As of Friday, the overall confirmed cases in the mainland, excluding Wuhan and Hubei, was 84,337, including 714 patients still being treated, with 39 in severe condition.

Altogether 78,989 people had been discharged after recovery, and 4,634 had died of the disease, excluding Wuhan and Hubei, once the coronavirus epicenter.

Hubei alone had reported a total of 68,135 confirmed coronavirus patients, and 63,623 had been cured and discharged from hospitals. The disease has claimed 4,512 lives in the province.

Six new imported patients were reported on Friday, of whom four were reported in Shanghai and two in Guangdong.

By the end of Friday, a total of 2,069 imported patients had been reported in the mainland. Of these, 989 had been discharged from hospitals after recovery, and 80 remained hospitalized. Three are in severe condition. No deaths from among imported patients had been reported.

There were still two suspected patients, the commission said.
