Hubei says three remaining virus patients cured, death tally at 4,512

Central China's Hubei province, which was once the new coronavirus epicenter, cleared all its confirmed new coronavirus patients Thursday, the provincial health commission said today, Xinhua reports. 

In Hubei and Wuhan alone 8,381 people died from the new coronavirus that emerged in the provincial capital.

As of Thursday, the last three coronavirus patients in the province had been cured.

No new asymptomatic cases were reported on Thursday, while 28 such cases were released from quarantine. Besides, 217 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation as of Thursday.

Hubei had reported a total of 68,135 confirmed virus patients with 4,512 deaths. In Wuhan, there were 50,333 patients and 3,869 deaths.
