Advertising sector professionals began a week-long strike today in support of the anti-government protests, RTHK reports. Dozens, many wearing masks, began the strike with a rally in Central's Chater Garden.
They held up posters calling for the five demands of protesters and urging everyone in the city to go on strike with them.
Antony Yiu, a spokesman for the organising group, Advertising Civilians said it was important for others in the sector to join the protest action.
"Our industry is probably not very organized, because we have so many creative people. We want to use this opportunity to unify our people in our industry to be concerned about what is happening in society," Yiu said.-Photos: RTHK/Sing Tao
