Thousands of citizens gathered at Tamar Park in Central to pray for the dead and wounded in the recent social unrest, which is sparked by the death of UST student Chow Tsz-lok yesterday morning.

Most of the participant dressed in black and wore face masks, some also prepared white flowers.

The organizer would be praying for Chow, Chan Yin-lam, a student of the Hong Kong Design Institute who was found dead in waters in September, and Tsang Chi-kin, the secondary school student who was shot in the chest by a police officer in early October.

Although the gathering was approved by the police, officers staged outside of the Central Government Offices stopped and searched five young men, and one was taken away after a laser pointer was found in his belongings.
