Demosisto leader, Joshua Wong Chi-fung, said he will continue to fight side by side with other Hong Kong people.

He was released on bail after being arrested earlier today, along with Agnes Chow Ting.

Moderate and progressive activists are now being arrested, he said.

"All we asked for is just to ask Beijing and Hong Kong government [to] withdraw the bill, stop police brutality, and respond to our calls for free elections," Wong said.

"I have been jailed three times, and I need to face a trial on November 8, but we [will] still continue our fight," he said. "We shall not surrender."

Wong also urged the international community to send a message to President Xi Jinping that sending troops and using emergency laws are not the way out.

Another Demosisto activist, Chow, said Hong Kong people will not be scared by the "white terror" and injustice, and will continue to fight for democracy and the five demands. "We, Hong Kong people, won't give up," she said.
