Young journalist critical after Tseung Kwan O chopper attack

A  26-year-old reporter for the Hong Kong Economic Journal, is in a critical condition after suffering knife injuries to her neck and back at the attack at the Tseung Kwan O 'Lennon Wall' in the early hours of today, RTHK reports.

The Hong Kong Economic Journal said the journalist had worked for one of its supplements publications, but was on leave after resigning earlier this month.

A 35 year-old woman is in a stable condition, while a 24-year-old man has been discharged.

The police said they arrested a 50 year-old man following the chooper attack on three people. The man was arrested at the Lo Wu border crossing at around 3:00pm, on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The 26-year-old woman sustained back and shoulder injuries and was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital while another 35-year-old woman who suffered hand and leg injuries was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital. A 24-year-old man received seven stitches to a head wound.-RTHK/The Standard
