Protest organizer Civil Human Rights Front said today it will organize a march against the police collusion with triads and abuse of powers as well as reiterating the five major demands on Sunday.

Convener, Jimmy Sham Tsz-kit, urged the police to issue a letter of no objection.

Vice-convenor Bonnie Leung said: “We can see that in Hong Kong, we have gangsters and we have the police force using excessive force against Hong Kong people. Therefore, we should no longer tolerate such misbehavior.''

“The [right] to hold marches in Hong Kong is actually a basic human right and it is promised in the Basic Law. We expect a high number of participants. Therefore, if the police only allow an assembly at Victoria Park instead of allowing us to have a march, it would create chaos and even danger to all the participants,” she said, RTHK reports.

Leung said she expects a turnout of 300,000.

The march will begin at 3:00pm from Victoria Park in Causeway Bay and end on Chater Road in Central starting.
