Radical protsters are showing “signs of terrorism,'' the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council says in another live briefing.

"Hong Kong's radical demonstrators have repeatedly used extremely dangerous tools to attack police officers, which already constitutes a serious violent
crime, and also shows the first signs of terrorism emerging," he said.

He called it a wanton trampling of the city's ule of law and social order.

Reading out a brief statement in Beijing today, the  spokesman, Yang Guang, said the central government firmly supports the Hong Kong police and the judiciary in enforcing the law and bringing those who broke the law to justice.
Yang also said the priority is to stop the violence.
This is the third press conference the office has held in as many weeks, but unlike the previous two sessions, the spokesman did not take any questions from journalists.-RTHK/The Standard
