A support group which rallied outside the Police Headquarters in Wan Chai today have defended police action in Yuen Long, saying they did what they could during the mob attack on protesters and passers by on the night of June 21, RTHK reports.
A spokesman of the Hong Kong Honour Alliance Association, said police acted according to their code of practice.
He said ordinary people are not aware much about police strategy and code of practice, and said he believes police have done what they could during the mob attack in Yuen Long.
Around a dozen people from a support group demonstrated outside the police headquarters to show support. They also handed over a thank you letter and a fruit basket, saying police have been working hard in dealing with radical anti-extradition protests.
