Several members of Demosisto staged a protest today at Mei Foo MTR station, calling on people to join the anti-extradition rally on Sunday as an uneasy calm returned to the areas in Admiralty around near the government headquarters.
Demosisto protesters knelt at the MTR station, shouting slogans and holding placards that say “boycott class, labor strike, save Hong Kong.''
From the group's live broadcast on social media, some members of public cheered them on, while others crticized them for disrupting their journey to work.
Meanwhile the areas around Legco and government headquarters were calm in the morning but Tim Mei Road and Tin Wah Road remained closed.
The number of police officers on the scene has decreased, but officers equipped with helmets were still on the scene. But they continued with the checking of IDs of people who were using pedestrian bridge near Citic Tower.
About 20 people appeared again in the morning on the pedestrian bridge, singing hymns. Some people also held up placards which said "protect students".-Photo: RTHK
