Arts hub to build hotel, shopping and show space

The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority said today it will seek expressions of interest for an art, commerce and exhibitions project, which will also offer shopping and dining.
The space to be built will include an exhibition center in a downtown art district, a hotel and offices for rent as well as retail, dining, and entertainment facilities.

The exhibition center portion must provide 47,045 square meters of art, commerce and exhibition space, the arts hub said.

Next to the exhibition center is a U-shaped site within which the project is expected to include 81,066 sq m of hotel and rental offices as well as 6,894 sq m of retail, dining, and entertainment facilities.
Expressions of interest open on Wednesday and close at 12 nooon on August 12.
