The Education Bureau has announced that all classes in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools will be suspended for another day tomorrow, as some schools need time to clean up and repair their premises and facilities.
It added that public transport services have yet to be fully resumed and the safety of students need to be ensured.
East Rail Line service between Fanling and Sheung Shui Station was suspended until 18:41pm and free MTR shuttle bus services were operating.
At 07:02pm, the railway operator said the overhead line damaged by fallen trees has been repaired and normal train service was gradually resuming.
KMB was operating around 50 of its routes by around 4:15pm, RTHK reports, while Citybus services were running on more than 20 routes as roads were cleared of trees and other debris.
