A showcase of technology and innovations has opened at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation.
It aims to demonstrate local innovations and ambition in biomedical technology, artificial intelligence and robotics, fintech and data, and smart city.
The Science Park said the 'Experience Centre,' will be the new touch point for local and global visitors to get a full sense of Hong Kong’s largest and most advanced information and technology ecosystem, while also opening new career avenues to young talent.
The 370 square meter immersive experience features seven zones, where 300 plus tech components power more than 30 multimedia exhibits to present Hong Kong’s innovation stories.
It uses facial recognition, panoramic video, hololens, real-time data dashboards, spherical projections and transparent touch-screen technology.
The center also provides a practical shared space for partner companies and the larger I&T community to co-create, the Science Park said.
It will act as a “digital den” to take this innovation spirit into new areas of potential growth. One area is design and art tech which is a prominent theme throughout the centre and highlights technology’s potential to drive cross-sector collaboration opportunities that transform culture and industry, the Science Park said.
Each exhibit zone in the center features art pieces that tell timeless stories of the human experience through modern, tech-enabled media platforms. The art tech exhibition “Man-Made,'' features works of six Chinese artists.
