GameStop gives up pre-market gains, drops by 10pc

GameStop shares rapidly gave up their premarket gains, turning negative and dropping 10 percent, CNBC reports.

Minutes earlier it was soaring, topping US$500 apiece briefly in premarket at one point.

The wild moves a more than 130 percent rally on Wednesday in heavy volume, pushing its week-to-date gains to 466 percent. The stock was worth about US$40 just a week ago.

The stock last traded up by 18 percent around US$409 in premarket trading on Thursday.
