Stocks in Hong Kong closed with marignal gains today after a rout on Friday.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index inched up by 22 points, or 0.10 percent at 22,952.24..
At the open, the HSI fell by 382.90 points, or 1.67 percent at 22,547.24, in the wake of a bout of violence at the weekend in response to the national security law draft presented to the national legislature. On Friday, stocks plunged by 1,439 points.
In mainland China, the benchmark Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index closed flat at 2,817.97, while the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Composite Index was also flat at 1,750.82.
